A Haute Couture collection with exclusive yarns and the colours of Boccadasse to recreate a feeling of comfort and calm
A collection that, according to the words of the designer, possesses a couture soul that hides thesumptuousness behind a dress of lightness, fun and color staying suspended in time.
The Boccadasse collections picks up all the chromatic suggestions of Luca Airoldi’s job, recreating the atmosphere of the old fishermen village, loved by the Genoese as an ideal place to walk, away from the noises of the city.
A summer blinded by the colors of the houses and the sea, by the contrasts of the light and the shades that characterise the streets to access the little beach, a natural palette that Luca Airoldi has chosen for his soft summer collection.
The light brown and the salmon of the houses, the green of the windows, the brown and the blue of the boats and then the color of the sea that, according to the hours of the day, goes from green to grey.
And the fishermen’s nets, the tortuous runs, the jagged coasts and the continuous movement of the water in the small inlet, have inspired the workmanships and the lines. The nets have been the point of departure, here reproduced with the use of a well known pattern. Their evolution has
allowed then to introduce various patterns that recreate the irregularity of the coasts and the imagination of the floorings.
The sea is at the center of this collection with its continuous movement and the waves that have suggested zig-zags.
The atmosphere of Boccadasse, that dates back to three centuries ago, has contributed to define the mood of a collection that doesn’t follow the trends and the fashions, but tries to make them contemporary in the forms, easy to wear, almost to create that feeling of comfort and calm that you will find in Boccadasse.
A precise choice that of Luca Airoldi that in Boccadasse confirms his stylistic sign in the choice of a light couture but characterized by exclusive material as the pure silk, to reproduce the colors of Liguria.
